- The walled city is best entered on foot. We can set you down at the Land Gate and collect you at the Sea Gate rather than circle the narrow streets.
- Salamis, the ruined ancient capital, lies ten minutes north of the walls with almost no shade. Morning arrivals often go there first and swim afterwards.
- Keep passports to hand for the checkpoint. Officers stamp a separate slip by default, so your passport is left unmarked.
