- Stops are built in on a run of this length. The driver will plan them rather than ask you to endure three and a half hours straight.
- Ercan is an hour thirty-five from the Karpaz and Larnaca two hours fifteen. Both are dramatically shorter. If your itinerary has any flexibility, use it here more than on any other route.
- Yeni Erenköy is the last town with fuel and an ATM, and beyond Dipkarpaz wild donkeys stand in the road at all hours. The final stretch is deliberately unhurried.

Only if Paphos is where you land. It is a fixed price, one car, one driver, and it is comfortable, but it is a long day either side of a flight. If you can fly into Ercan instead, the drive drops to an hour thirty-five and the fare falls by more than half.
