About this transfer
Nicosia is the closest northern destination to Larnaca, and the only one where the crossing happens at the capital's own edge rather than somewhere out on the road. You come up the motorway from the coast in about forty minutes, reach the edge of the city, and cross at one of its vehicle checkpoints. Good to know on this route
- The checkpoint is the only stop. You stay in the car with passports out, and an officer may glance at the vehicle documents your driver carries. Passengers pay nothing.
- Ledra Street (Lokmacı) is the pedestrian crossing between the two halves of the old city — useful during your stay, but not the one a car uses.
- Parking inside the walls is difficult and there are few empty taxis cruising, so we also run fixed-price rides around the city once you have arrived.
