About this transfer
Lapta is two places with one name: a village of narrow lanes climbing the hillside, and a coastal strip below it with the hotels and the walkway. Fifty minutes from Ercan gets you to either, but they are a steep couple of kilometres apart and the driver needs to know which one you mean.

Good to know on this route
- If you are staying in the old village, send the street or a pin. The lanes above the main road are narrow, and several are one-way in a direction the map does not always show.
- The Lapta coastal walkway, the hotels and most holiday rentals are on the lower strip, straight off the Kyrenia road. That is the simpler drop-off of the two.
- Lapta has a long-stay and expat population rather than a resort centre, so there is no taxi rank. Fixed-price runs into Kyrenia, Alsancak or Karşıyaka are the practical way around.
