Alsancak is the strip west of Kyrenia where the Merit properties sit almost on top of each other, and the drive from Ercan is forty-five minutes over the pass and along the coast. The distinction that matters here is not the town but the building: four hotels share a name and a couple of kilometres of road.

Good to know on this route
- Merit Royal, Merit Royal Premium, Merit Park and Merit Crystal Cove are four separate hotels. Royal and Royal Premium share a forecourt; Park and Crystal Cove are further along. Tell us which one and you will not be walking between them with cases.
- Riverside Garden Resort is set back inland off the main road rather than on the sea front, and the turning is easy to miss in the dark. We take it as a matter of course.
- Escape Beach, Denizkızı and Camelot are on this same stretch. Local runs into Kyrenia, up to Lapta or across to Karşıyaka are fixed-price and can be arranged with your driver.

Is Alsancak far from Kyrenia town?
